I think Noble is unlikely, Moyes said it was a hamstring so can't see him back within a week. Zab was only a dead leg and I think he was on the bench the other night so imagine he is ok.

Yes, I would be very surprised if Noble is fit. Rice can step in and do an excellent job defensively but with Lanzini also out it leaves us very short in the creative department. Probably end up with Ayew in there - sigh.

Yeah that bothers me as well with those two out. Think there will be a lot of reliance on Arthur and Antonio to get balls in the box in the absence of creativity. Wouldn't even be surprised if Carroll started on this basis.

Must be ready for the bench.
Obviously without Lanzini it sounds like a bit of a slog. Benitez’s style is to set up for a 0-0 and hope for a goal on the break and we need to find the wit to get through.
Our midfield looks VERY pedestrian and our squad unbalanced.
May drop Antonio back a bit and play Hernandez up with Arnautovic to try and take a chance. If one appears

I wonder if we need some more offensive impetus on the wings with Lanzini , so would it be worth it to move Zabaleta into the central of midfield for this one and use both wing backs as wing backs. Give Ayew a chance to do something before the window.

Ayew needs to be nowhere near the starting 11, in fact sell in Jan, Pea in for Lanzini, Arnie in the Lanzini role pulling the strings going forward.
